Job summary

i2G Systems is seeking a field technician to install and test CCTV, access control, and security systems at client sites south of Sterling, VA. You will work with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure successful installations and timely project completion.

The role requires hands-on tool use, strong communication, and the ability to travel locally to client sites. Overtime, weeknights, and weekends may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and carry tools and equipment.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Must be able to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and professional manner.
• Candidate must be able to use MS Word, Excel, etc.
• Ability to follow the installation, testing, and troubleshooting procedures outlined by i2G.
• Must be available to work overtime, weeknights, and/or weekends when necessary.
• Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver's license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, and troubleshoots new CCTV, access control, and security systems.
• Ensures that systems are installed properly and on time in accordance with Kastle's procedures and quality control standards.
• Provides feedback and information to identify any potential barriers to timely execution of the project, such as construction delays or changes.
• Provides accurate documentation for completed work.
• Maintains assigned company-owned vehicles, tools, equipment, and individual tool issue.
• Maintains and protects building keys to customer buildings.
• Communicates with customers, customer representatives, contractors and Kastle staff as necessary to install and test equipment.
• Stays up to date and knowledgeable in Kastle services, technology as well as internal processes and procedures.
