Job summary

i2G Systems in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Electronic Security Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain CCTV/IP camera systems, access control, and intrusion alarms on customer sites. You will ensure systems operate reliably and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include on-site installation, testing, preventive maintenance, schematics reading, and providing technical support to clients and internal teams while collaborating with engineers to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic security systems (video, access, intrusion)
• Strong understanding of IP networking, switches, PoE, and basic routing
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
• Valid driver’s license; ability to lift equipment and work on ladders

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test CCTV/IP camera systems and networked security devices
• Install and service access control systems (card readers, door hardware, controllers)
• Diagnose and repair intrusion alarm systems, sensors, panels, and communication modules
• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, and firmware/software updates
• Run, terminate, and label low-voltage cabling (Cat5/6, coax, fiber)
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers and internal teams
• Document service activities, parts used, and system configurations
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local regulations
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to resolve complex issues

The Electronic Security Service Technician installs, services, troubleshoots, and maintains electronic security systems including video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, alarms, and related low-voltage equipment. This role ensures systems operate reliably, meet customer requirements, and comply with industry standards

Qualifications
