Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Electronic Service Technician in Sioux City, IA to join our security service team. You will diagnose, repair, and install electronic security and building automation equipment, delivering world-class service in a dynamic culture.

You will work with a skilled team to perform routine maintenance, respond to service calls, and complete detailed reports for invoicing and cost tracking. Equal opportunity employer, on-site role.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years relevant experience in electronic, fire alarm, life safety or building automation industries.
• Ability to develop basic programming skills and troubleshoot problems.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand and power tools.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and some non-routine service calls on a timely basis; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts and debug systems.
• Install projects as necessary and provide custom system integrations or upgrades when needed.
• Complete accurate and detailed service reports for invoicing and cost tracking.
• Work with other team members to improve operations and support customers.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and regulations.
