Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) is seeking an Electromechanical Systems Engineer to support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives focused on improving product profitability, performance, and quality. This role is based at our Greene, New York office and requires hands-on engineering collaboration across manufacturing and suppliers.

As the primary Systems Engineer within the VAVE team, you will evaluate designs, test cost-effective alternatives, troubleshoot issues,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems.
• Knowledge of DFMA principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent planning and coordination with stakeholders.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify cost-reducing design alternatives while maintaining performance.
• Develop and test redesigned components for VAVE.
• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis on product issues.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and costs for improvements.
• Serve as primary Systems Engineer within VAVE team.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, product development, and suppliers.
• Drive initiatives influencing cost, manufacturability, and profitability.
