Job summary

Wayne Fueling Systems LLC, based in Austin, TX, seeks a Manager of HW VAVE Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers. You will personally drive high-impact VAVE projects while shaping the VAVE roadmap to cut costs and improve lifecycle sustainment, manufacturability, and reliability.

You will partner with sourcing, quality, operations, and suppliers to implement changes, maintain ECO/ECN documentation, and report savings and risks to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 8+ years in electronic hardware design, sustaining engineering, or VAVE-focused product engineering.
• 3+ years in people leadership with hands-on, player-coach experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical VAVE engineers.
• Own and execute high-impact VAVE projects as an individual contributor.
• Deliver annual VAVE targets for cost reduction and supply continuity.
• Identify BOM optimization, part standardization, alternate sourcing, and design simplification.
• Collaborate with sourcing, quality, operations, and supplier partners.
