Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions in Austin, TX is seeking a Manager, HW VAVE Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team of electrical and mechanical engineers, driving cost reduction and lifecycle improvements while ensuring product performance and regulatory compliance.

This hands-on leader will own VAVE projects end-to-end, partner with sourcing and quality, and deliver measurable savings while maintaining ECO/ECN discipline and smooth production releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required.
• 8+ years in electronic hardware design or sustaining engineering.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Proven track record delivering cost-reduction projects.
• Experience with ECO/ECN, validation, production release and supplier qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical and mechanical VAVE engineers with clear priorities.
• Hands-on working manager: own and execute high-impact VAVE projects.
• Deliver annual VAVE targets for cost reduction and supply continuity.
• Identify BOM optimization, alternate sourcing and design simplification opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership on changes, ensuring fit/form/function and manufacturability.
• Define and execute validation plans and drive root-cause corrective actions.
• Collaborate with sourcing, quality and suppliers to implement changes into production.
• Ensure ECO/ECN documentation and smooth release from approval to plant.
• Track and report savings, cycle time, status and risk reductions.
