Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer to design and integrate hardware systems across multiple sites in the United States. The role requires a STEM degree with relevant experience and an active TS/SCI clearance.

You will participate in system-level testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration, with potential travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations. Responsibilities include refining drawings, supporting deployment, and enhancing performance through design modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required at the time of application.
• Experience with hardware design and integration processes.
• Familiarity with power, RF, and fiber electrical signal principles and applications.
• Experience with complex system architectures and hardware validation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design and integration of hardware systems per requirements.
• Finalize/update drawings; support equipment moves and rack/stack deployment.
• Support installation and configuration events; travel as needed.
• Perform system-level testing and verification to ensure design meets standards.
• Document design alterations and prepare status reports and validation plans.
• Engage with cross-functional teams with proactive communication.
