Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer / Principal Electromechanical Engineer for a role based in Aurora, Colorado. The candidate will work on hardware design and integration, understanding how requirement changes affect hardware, with systems that use power, RF, and fiber optics.

The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware meets specifications, with occasional travel to deployment sites and field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of relevant experience (Level 2) or Master’s with 0+ years.
• Level 3 requires 5+ years with Bachelor's or 3+ years with Master’s.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with hardware design and integration processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on hardware system design and integration to meet changing requirements.
• Create/update drawings and support equipment moves and rack/stack integration.
• Travel to support field activities and deployment as needed (CONUS/OCONUS).
• Participate in system-level testing and verification of hardware against specs.
• Document design changes and write validation plans and status reports.
