Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer - Level2 to join the Vehicle Engineering Directorate within Western Region Engineering. This onsite position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.

Responsibilities include performing electromechanical engineering across programs, developing specs and designs, and supporting data packages and internal design reviews. A STEM degree with related experience and clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in STEM discipline.
• Must have active SCI access or Top-Secret clearance with SCI access eligibility before start date.
• Experience with mechanisms design, Electromechanical or opto-mechanical systems.
• Experience with Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA V5/3DExp CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Perform Electromechanical engineering on multiple projects through all phases of development and manufacturing.
• Develop technical specifications, conceptual designs, trade studies, detail designs, procedures, assembly, testing, and reports.
• Assist with technical data packages including fabrication, source control, and assembly drawings.
• Perform engineering analysis to validate design solutions for performance, durability, manufacturability, schedule and cost.
• Support on-time execution of development programs by mitigating risks and pursuing opportunities.
• Assist with internal design reviews and incorporate feedback from reviewers and management.
• Employ strong interpersonal and communication skills while contributing to an integrated product team.
• Demonstrate accountability to obtain results and contribute to organizational objectives.
