Job summary

Adecco Staffing is working with a leading engineering and technology company in Bedford, MA to bring on an experienced Electromechanical Engineering Technician. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers and scientists in a hands‑on, highly technical environment supporting prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and rework.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Pay: $40.00 – $45.00/hour depending on experience

Qualifications

Technical diploma or equivalent required.
7+ years of experience in a comparable engineering, laboratory, manufacturing, or technical environment preferred.
Experience with electromechanical assemblies and prototypes.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Experience creating and following technical documentation and work instructions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Experience using electrical and mechanical test equipment.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, build, and rework electromechanical assemblies using drawings and specs.
Assemble and rework complex electromechanical components and prototypes.
Set up, adjust, calibrate, align, and modify electrical and mechanical components.
Build test fixtures and run experiments to evaluate prototype reliability and performance.
Operate lab and machine shop tools to modify or fabricate parts and assemblies.
Identify design or performance issues, collect data, and communicate findings to engineering teams.
Communicate project status and findings to team leads and managers.
