Field Service Technicians work from home and respond to service calls as scheduled by DSM, performing diverse maintenance tasks to extend equipment life and minimize downtime. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of equipment repair experience or a combination of training and experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read and understand schematics.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and call management software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to equipment repair.
• Strong organization skills; self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and proof of insurance.
• Successful completion of a satisfactory background check.
• Maintain a professional appearance, behavior, and positive attitude.
• Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform billable work by maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing equipment.
• Abide by all OSHA, customer, and DOC safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
• Respond to all service calls within customer expectations and DOC requirements.
• Provide all required documentation to the customer and DOC via handheld device.
• Perform cost‑effective service and repairs while maintaining quality.
• Seek technical support onsite in a timely manner to avoid prolonging repair time.
• Be reachable via phone for reactive service repairs unless otherwise approved.
• Order the correct parts needed for the repair.
• Maintain inventory on hand and keep it organized for quick access during jobs.
• Arrive at job sites on time and prepared with tools, instructions, parts, and safety equipment.
• Travel to and from customer locations.
• Perform inventory reconciliation accurately and as scheduled.
• Return parts as requested, following instructions and in a timely fashion.
• As directed by DSM, evaluate preventable service problems at customer locations, and educate or recommend solutions to the customer.
