Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an undergraduate intern to join the Electromechanical Applications team in El Segundo, CA. You will work full-time on-site, contributing to testing, modeling, and analysis of electromechanical control systems for satellite/launch programs.

Ideal candidates are enrolled full-time in mechanical/electrical engineering, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and are prepared to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Full-time enrollment in accredited college/university
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field
• Available for 10+ weeks full-time internship
• Junior standing by start date
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• Able to obtain/maintain US security clearance
• US citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Participate in testing, modeling, simulation, and analysis of electromechanical control systems
• Apply engineering techniques to diverse problems
• Verify contractor designs and system performance
• Attend technical reviews and readiness/pedigree/acceptance reviews
• Develop, operate, and maintain laboratory resources
• Prepare written reports and oral presentations of study results
• Develop analytical models and analysis tools
• Create laboratory experiments and characterize hardware
• Interact with other disciplines and government customers as needed
• Represent department and sub-division professionally during interactions
