Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an undergraduate Power Systems Engineering Intern for the Analog and Power Systems Department in the Electronics Engineering Subdivision. The selected candidate will work full-time on-site in El Segundo, CA, supporting power systems analyses for satellites and launch vehicles.

Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a related engineering program, able to commit 10 weeks, and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. A security clearance is required, with U.S.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a college/university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and return to degree program full-time after completion.
  • Sophomore class standing completed by internship start date.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Power Systems Engineering technical support and build energy balance/energy depletion models.
  • Work with experienced staff to understand satellite subsystem power bus operations.
  • Develop system-level modeling tools to characterize hardware performance.
  • Write clear, concise reports documenting work and findings.
