Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician to join the Electromechanical Control Department in El Segundo, CA. The role supports the Mechatronics Research Laboratory and Vehicle Systems Division, focusing on sensors, actuators, and control hardware for spacecraft and launch vehicles.

You will work onsite with an emphasis on test programs, data collection, and instrument control, ensuring safety and lab readiness while collaborating with engineers to advance

Qualifications

• 6 or more years of machine shop experience.
• Mastery of instrument control, data collection techniques, data management, experiment design, setup and documentation.
• Able to plan and execute tasks using machine controller and advanced CAD/CAM software to draw parts and create toolpaths.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering staff to implement research and test programs in the MRL.
• Conduct tests and measurements.
• Resolve test issues.
• Evaluate test data and provide input and recommendations as appropriate.
• Maintain laboratory readiness, including equipment functionality, calibration, safety protocols, etc.
• Ensure lab safety rules are followed and rectify any safety hazards.
