Job summary

Anduril Industries in Irvine, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer within the Electromagnetic Warfare team to own and improve production test flows, troubleshoot complex electrical issues, and ensure high-quality shipments.

You will develop test methods, train technicians, analyze data, and collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing to drive continuous improvements while maintaining test equipment calibration and throughputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
• Experience with contract manufacturers in testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition).
• Strong root cause analysis skills of non-conforming hardware.
• Experience with PLM, MES, TES systems.
• Experience integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own test activities in production and ensure test flow; troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream, from system checkouts to component validation.
• Improve automation, consistency, cycle time, and test coverage (DfM).
• Create test work instructions and train technicians on equipment use in MES.
• Develop library of failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
• Determine root cause of failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
• Collaborate with Design, Quality and Manufacturing to support returns and failure analysis.
• Contribute feedback to early-stage test design for NPIs.
• Analyze test data and provide reports identifying defects and improvements.
• Collaborate with design engineers on product enhancements from test outcomes.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes.
