Job summary

Anduril Industries in Irvine seeks a Hardware Manufacturing Test Engineer for the EW team to ensure stringent production testing and high-quality outputs. You will own the production test flow, troubleshoot hardware, and advance automation and data analytics.

You will collaborate with Design, Quality and Manufacturing to resolve issues, analyze data, and contribute to early-stage test design for new products while maintaining calibration of tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
• Experience with contract manufacturers in the testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscope, function generators, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition and measurement sensors.
• Strong root cause analysis skills of non‑conforming hardware.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiar with Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Test Execution Systems (TES)
• Experience working on projects that involve the integration of electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Maintain ownership of test activities in production and troubleshooting efforts.
• Maintain test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system checkouts to component level validation.
• Improve and sustain test systems to improve automation, consistency, and coverage.
• Generate test work instructions for MES technicians and train them as required.
• Develop library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides/diagrams.
• Determine root cause of product failures and recommend corrective actions (RCCA).
• Collaborate with Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams on returns and failure analysis.
• Provide feedback to early-stage test design for NPI.
• Analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports to identify defects and improvements.
• Collaborate with design engineers for product enhancements based on test outcomes.
• Optimize test strategies for efficiency and quality.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment for precision and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
• Execute testing as required.
