Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is expanding in De Soto, Kansas and seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a 24/7 high-volume manufacturing shift. You will drive safe, efficient operations while meeting targets for quality, cost, and delivery.

A strong Lean/6S mindset and experience with SWIs are essential. You will train, mentor, and develop the team, coordinate with HR for performance management, and lead cross‑functional problem solving to deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or related field.
• 3+ years of leadership in a 24/7 high‑volume manufacturing environment (or 2+ years as PECNA Process Lead).
• Knowledge of Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Working-level English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Aligned with Panasonic’s core principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Develop and enforce SWIs and Standardized Work Instructions (SWIs).
• Plan and assign work schedules, tasks, and priorities for team members.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and 6S initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Execute plant-wide initiatives aligned to SQDCP metrics.
• Participate in issue resolution and data-driven decision making.
• Train and onboard new employees on SOPs, SWIs, and safety protocols.
• Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and engagement.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership on employee relations and performance issues.
• Participate in PFMEA and risk mitigation with Manufacturing Process Engineers.
• Support control plans implementation across production.
• Ensure safety, monitor quality, and contain defects at source.
• Investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
