Job summary

Knauf Insulation North America is seeking an Electro-Mechanic to maintain electrical and mechanical systems at our Shelbyville, IN facility. You will service motors, conveyors, PLCs, and related control systems, while updating documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with the production team to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA forklift license required.
• Experience with heavy industrial maintenance and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical systems including motors, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to restore equipment.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
• Electrical work: wiring, controls, and electronic components; read schematics.
• Mechanical work: repair gearboxes, bearings, belts, pumps; ensure safety compliance.
