Job summary
Amcor is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Shelbyville, KY to install, test, repair and maintain electrical and electronic plant equipment across the site. You will troubleshoot using PLCs and schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with upgrades and safety improvements to minimize downtime.
The role requires hands-on experience, strong problem solving, and adherence to OHSE policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with technical training.
- Minimum 4 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC, Eurotherm, Siemens drives, PLC process control.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics, perform IPC calibration.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain it.
- Strong safety culture and OHSE compliance.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, repair, and maintain electrical/ electronic plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment using PLCs, manuals, diagrams, and test tools.
- Respond to emergency repairs and fire system issues outside hours.
- Install conduits, wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and components.
- Read and interpret PLC programs, blueprints, schematics and drawings.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance lead and engineering on upgrades and projects.
