Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Bayport, MN is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to learn and contribute to engineering projects that support manufacturing and automation. You will work with engineers and technicians to update control systems, troubleshoot PLCs and sensors, and help drive reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Experience applying engineering principles through coursework, projects, internships, or activities.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits, industrial controls, automation, and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical and controls projects in manufacturing facilities.
• Update machine control systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Assist with PLC, HMI, sensor, and automation troubleshooting.
• Analyze downtime and implement production improvements.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and docs.
• Create SOPs and work instructions; participate in process mapping.
• Collect and interpret manufacturing and equipment data; support installation and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to leadership.
