Job summary

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 at Kion Group AG in Salt Lake City, UT, will perform day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on all equipment at the site. This role is a junior-level technician position with a Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm shift; overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent experience; vocational-technical training is helpful.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Occasionally pushing and pulling wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds.
• Functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Safely climbing ladders and gangways.
• Work in conditions with dust, fumes/odors, temperatures, noise, and uneven surfaces.
• Standing/walking for up to 10–12 hours.
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holiday hours.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Crafting and closing work orders in the asset management system with detailed data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshooting fundamental conveyance problems and deploying effective solutions.
• Locating and tracking spare parts from inventory.
• Responding to semi-complex service calls, correcting equipment failures and faults.
• Identifying problems as they occur and taking appropriate steps to solve them.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
