Job summary

Dematic in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 2 to handle day-to-day troubleshooting and preventive/predictive maintenance on material handling equipment. The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent; lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing; a Monday–Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm shift with overtime and occasional weekend work.

Base pay range is posted as $26.00-$31.50 per hour, with final compensation determined by location, education, experience, knowledge, and

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent experience; vocational-technical training helpful.
• Lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally pushing and pulling wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Demonstrating functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Safely climbing ladders and gangways without limitation.
• Working in conditions that may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, various temperatures, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Standing/walking for up to 10–12 hours.
• Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Crafting and closing work orders in the asset management system with detailed data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshooting fundamental conveyance problems and deploying effective solutions.
• Locating and tracking spare parts from inventory.
• Responding to semi-complex service calls, correcting equipment failures and faults.
• Identifying problems as they occur and taking appropriate steps to solve them.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
