Job summary

SCRAM Systems in Durham, NC is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician I to repair electronic devices and assemblies for ignition interlock systems within a manufacturing setting. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair IID devices, reading schematics and specifications to ensure quality outputs.

Collaboration with supervision and occasional overtime are expected. The role requires hands-on soldering, basic computer diagnostics, and the ability to work on multiple device types while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associates Degree or Equivalent in Electronic Course Track - Preferred
• 2-5 years’ experience in Electronic Troubleshooting - Preferred
• Fundamental computer skills for diagnostic testing - Preferred
• IPC A-610 Class I Certification - Preferred
• Ability to work with moderate supervision - Preferred
• Hand soldering experience - Required
• Color Vision (Needed to see colored LED’s and wires) - Required

Responsibilities

• Repair breath alcohol ignition interlock devices (IID) and related electronics.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting in production environment.
• Read manuals, schematics, and instructions to repair devices.
• Work individually or in team with supervision and maintain production flow.
• Ensure data collection accuracy for data analysis and reporting.
