Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on AGV and Conveyor systems. Acts as a material handling technician at the Palmdale, CA facility. This position is for the day shift from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on a rotating schedule.

The estimated base pay range for this role is $30 to $35.50 per hour. Final compensation depends on location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will Do in This Role

• Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustments/replacements, and lubrication.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines, document procedures, and complete work orders.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders with detailed data such as labor hours, maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot conveyance issues and identify resources needed for resolution.
• Track and locate spare parts in inventory.
• Perform complex maintenance and testing to ensure equipment meets specifications.
• Assist in training customers to operate equipment.
• Respond to service calls to fix equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate corrective actions.

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or vocational training preferred. Certifications are a plus.
• 5-7 years of senior-level technical experience.
• Proven experience in relevant responsibilities and tasks.
• Professional communication skills for customer interactions, both in person and via email.
• Experience leading projects and managing teams in maintenance operations.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to perform bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
• Ability to push and pull loaded dollies up to 100 pounds.
• Comfort climbing ladders and gangways safely.
• Ability to work in conditions with dust, fumes, odors, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, and uneven surfaces.
