Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Ontario, CA site location. Aids and mentors lower-level employees. 1 day shift and 1 2nd shift opening working Sunday - Friday; 4:30 pm - 1:00 am. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $35 to $40 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What You Will Do in This Role
  • Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), ensuring accurate belt tracking, component adjustments/replacements, and accurate lubrication.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures to maintain equipment at efficient performance.
  • Apply electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry and ensure flawless operations.
  • Build and close work orders in the asset management system, accurately recording data such as labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
  • Troubleshoot conveyance problems, determine necessary resources, and successfully implement solutions.
  • Locate and manage spare parts inventory to ensure timely repairs.
  • Perform complex maintenance and equipment testing to guarantee they meet strict specifications.
  • Train customers on operating equipment, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Respond promptly to service calls, addressing equipment failures and faults with proven expertise.
  • Identify and tackle problems as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
What We Are Looking For
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required; an Associate’s degree or vocational technical training is preferred.
  • Specialized skill training/certification is highly valued.
  • Senior-level knowledge with 5-7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area.
  • Proven track record in the area of responsibility, demonstrating successful completion of key tasks.
  • Outstanding ability to maintain professional communications with onsite customer leadership, Dematic leadership, and technicians.
  • Experience in leading projects, teams, and advising day-to-day operations and tasks for the onsite maintenance team.
  • Physical capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, with regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
  • Ability to occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
  • Proficiency in safely climbing ladders and gangways.
  • Ability to work in different conditions: small spaces, dust, fumes, heat/cold, noise, vibration, and wet surfaces.
