Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician B to join our team in El Segundo, California. The role requires 2nd shift and is 100% onsite at one of our local facilities with a focus on high-reliability space products.

The candidate will assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies, read blueprints and specs, and ensure quality while using precision tools. Prior experience with soldering and clean-room-like environments is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience following written/verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs+ frequently.
• Ability to stand/move for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis.
• Assemble Electro-Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, drawings and specs.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
• Use precision tools – torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers.
• Perform visual inspection to drawings and specs.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to specs.
• Document non-conformances and rework/repair.
• Soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components.
• Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating.
• Other duties as assigned.
