Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space and Security's Millennium Space Systems in El Segundo, CA is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician B for 2nd shift. This 100% onsite role supports high-reliability space products and requires adherence to precise assembly practices.

Responsibilities include PCB-to-chassis assembly, interpretation of blueprints, soldering, inspection, and documentation of non-conformances. Requires HS diploma and 1+ year experience following instructions; union IAM; probationary period

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience following written and verbal work instructions.
• Steady hand-eye coordination to work with small parts.
• Capable of lifting 20 lbs or more.
• Able to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis.
• Assemble electro-mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in all tasks.
• Use precision tools: torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers.
• Perform visual inspection against drawings and specs.
• Document non-conformances and rework/repair as needed.
• Soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components.
• Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating.
