Job summary

Millennium Space Systems in El Segundo, CA seeks an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician for second shift to support spaceflight sub-systems manufacturing. You will assemble PCB assemblies into product chassis, read drawings, and perform precision soldering and inspections on high-reliability components.

The role requires on-site presence, lifting up to 20 lbs, and adherence to ESD, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards; occasional shift changes may occur to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years in electronics, electro-mechanical and PCB assemblies.
• 3+ years in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability products.
• Experience with ESD, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards.
• Soldering experience and ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs+ and stand/move for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical PCB assemblies into product chassis.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to assemble per SOPs.
• Use torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers with precision.
• Visually inspect assemblies against specs and procedures.
• Document non-conformances and perform rework/repair.
• Solder through-hole and surface mount components as required.
• Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating.
• Work onsite on second shift with possible additional shifts.
