Job summary

Andersen Corporation seeks an Electro/Mechanical Technician II for 1st shift in Des Moines, IA. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across production equipment.

The role requires a 2-year degree or equivalent and PLC troubleshooting experience. You will read schematics, work with engineering on upgrades, and uphold safety and TPM practices in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or equivalent and/or 5 years’ experience in a related field AND 2 years’ experience troubleshooting PLCs.
• Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting machine controls including frequency drives, servo drives and touch panels.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and prints.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring prints.
• Perform preventive maintenance and TPM activities and document work.
• Follow safety policies including lockout/tagout and 5S practices.
• Collaborate with engineering on equipment design changes and upgrades.
