Andersen Corporation is seeking a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across our manufacturing equipment in Des Moines, IA. You will read schematics, calibrate drives, and participate in TPM and 5S activities to maintain uptime.

The role requires 2-year degree or equivalent plus hands-on experience, with welding and fabrication skills a plus.

Formación

• 2-year degree or equivalent and/or 5 years' experience in a related field.
• Proficient reading of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and prints.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs and electrical principles.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical functions, mechanical drive units, industrial hydraulics and pneumatic powers, AC/DC circuits, sensors and switches.
• Use tools to replace components, calibrate machinery and restore operation quickly.
• Participate in TPM initiatives and deploy TPM objectives.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document work.
• Read and understand electrical schematics and prints.
• Evaluate equipment for repairs, enhancements or upgrades.
• Perform welding and painting tasks and fabrications as needed.
• Ensure equipment is properly guarded and follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Work safely and contribute to 5S activities.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with engineering on design changes for upgrades or replacements.
• Assist with hazardous waste management and plant moves.
• Work with IT for equipment implementations.
