Job summary

Jabil in the United States is seeking a maintenance technician for the second shift (2pm–10pm EST, Mon–Fri). The role requires following established procedures while recognizing when to adapt to resolve problems on electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing.

You will train and coordinate machine operators, troubleshoot failures, perform preventive maintenance, calibrate equipment, and document activities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
• Two to five years experience with electro‑mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English; communicate with technical support.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Knowledge of safety practices and calibration equipment.

Responsibilities

• Train and coordinate activities of machine operators or MA’s in the maintenance of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot non-functioning electro‑mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to plans, manuals or drawings.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance; document maintenance as per program designation.
• Move or assist in the movement and installation of equipment.
• Calibrate equipment using test equipment.
• May source equipment parts; may work overtime or be on-call.
• Comply with security policies.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
