Job summary

Jabil in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work under general supervision on electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, dismantling, repairing, and rebuilding machinery to keep production running smoothly.

You will calibrate equipment, perform preventive maintenance, document maintenance activities, and contribute to process improvements. Some overtime or on-call duties may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience with electro-mechanical equipment in manufacturing.
• English reading/writing and effective communication with technical support.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment in manufacturing.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per plans/manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document activities.
• Calibrate equipment using test equipment and maintain data for improvements.
• May train others and assist in sourcing parts as needed.
