Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands seeks a Maintenance Technician III to support manufacturing operations, adjust and repair equipment, and manage replacement parts. The role emphasizes electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and equipment optimization on a fast-paced production floor.

The position requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, 3–7 years in manufacturing maintenance, and strong safety and reading blueprints abilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field, or equivalent related experience.
• 3-7 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Able to adhere to safety policies/procedures and commit to quality.
• Standby assignments; work off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Troubleshoot PLC inputs/outputs and repair issues
• Complete projects adding electrical circuits and controls and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems and perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Enter all work in the maintenance program
• Monitor spare parts usage and process parts orders
• Train Level I and II technicians in complex tasks
