Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, MD, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Engineer at Level 3 or 4 to lead mechanical design for RF/EO aperture hardware on critical satellite programs. This 100% onsite role requires independent work, strong CAD skills and effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

The candidate will design, develop, and test hardware across lifecycle stages, from concept to integration, while maintaining schedule and technical performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 5 years of professional experience OR Master’s with 3 years OR PhD with 1 year.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.
• Proven proficiency with mechanical hardware design in RF/EO sensor or antenna assemblies.
• Expert-level use of 3D CAD tools (Creo, Siemens NX).

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design, analysis, integration and testing for RF and EO aperture designs.
• Develop hardware for space sensor programs across multiple efforts.
• Present technical solutions and data at milestone reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, management and contractors.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues during integration and test and propose improvements.
