Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Dulles, VA is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Level 3 or 4 to join a mission-critical space systems team.

The role focuses on mechanical, systems, mechanisms, and design tasks for spacecraft subsystems, with a 9/80 schedule and 100% onsite work. You will develop CAD models using CREO Parametric, draft specifications, and collaborate with RF, design, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable antenna, deployable structures, and reflector components.

Qualifications

• U.S. government Top-Secret clearance is required or able to obtain.
• Experience with CREO Parametric CAD software.
• Ability to design, manufacture, and test space antenna and deployable structures.
• Experience with cost and schedule management.
• Ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work on Spacecraft Antenna, Feeds, OMTs, and Deployable system.
• Collaborate with RF team to optimize antenna optics and reflectors.
• Write specifications and SOWs.
• Design and release drawings for Deployable Supports and Secondary Structure.
• Develop test plans and support testing at component and spacecraft levels.
• Create CAD models using CREO Parametric.
