Job summary

Synergy Staffing seeks an experienced electrical design engineer to lead the development of control panels on-site in Greensburg, PA. You will drive CAD-based layouts, from concept through to assembly, ensuring UL508A and NFPA/NEC compliance for rugged industrial applications.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical design, strong CAD skills in AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical, and practical knowledge of motor control and power distribution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design with emphasis on UL508A-compliant control panels.
• Proven CAD capability drafting electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Strong command of core electrical fundamentals including branch circuit protection and power distribution.
• Solid understanding of UL508A, NEC, and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Design complete industrial control panel layouts, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics in CAD.
• Ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC, and NFPA codes during panel design.
• Size components for power distribution, motor circuits, VFDs, and create BOMs.
• Perform SCCR and thermal/load calculations for harsh environments.
• Design electrical packages for rugged outdoor deployments and hazardous locations.
• Collaborate with assembly technicians to guide builds and commissioning.
