Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie, Texas is seeking an Electromechanical Design Engineer to design, model, and deliver production-ready hardware for aerospace and defense programs. You will develop CCAs, enclosures, and harnesses while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, producible solutions.

The role requires a BS in an engineering field, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and CAD proficiency (CREO/ProE, Zuken).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 1 year of professional electromechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with CREO/Pro Engineer or equivalent 3D CAD software.
• CCA design experience.
• Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5M GD&T.
• Harness and cable design experience.
• Experience with Zuken for interconnect and harness design.
• Must be a US Citizen; able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design electromechanical subsystems such as CCAs, harnesses, enclosures, and sub-assemblies.
• Produce detailed mechanical layouts, 3D models, and drawings; select materials, components.
• Model wiring harnesses in Zuken and generate BOM.
• Build model-based routing and layout to meet size, weight, and power constraints.
• Define acceptance tests, execute verification, and document results in Windchill.
• Conduct MRB actions, update engineering change records, maintain configuration control.
• Collaborate with structural/thermal analysts, configuration management, designers, subcontractors, planning, quality.
• Provide technical support during design releases, assembly, inspection, test.
• Travel to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities as needed.

You will be the Electromechanical Design Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control (MFC). Our team designs, develops, and manufactures precision‑engagement aerospace and defense systems for the United States and allied militaries, delivering mission‑critical hardware that must meet the toughest reliability, performance, and security standards.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Electromechanical Design Engineer you will create innovative electromechanical concepts, develop production‑ready hardware, and partner with a broad‑based engineering community to ensure successful program delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing electromechanical subsystems such as circuit‑card assemblies (CCAs), harnesses, enclosures, and sub‑assemblies.
• Producing detailed mechanical layouts, 3‑D models, and engineering drawings, selecting appropriate materials, components, and processes.
• Modeling wiring harnesses in Zuken and generating complete Bills of Material.
• Building model‑based routing and layout packages that satisfy size, weight, and power constraints.
• Defining acceptance‑test criteria, executing verification tests, and documenting results in Windchill.
• Conducting Material Review Board (MRB) actions, updating engineering change records, and maintaining configuration control.
• Collaborating with structural and thermal analysts, configuration management, electrical/mechanical designers, subcontractors, planning, and quality teams.
• Providing technical support during design releases, assembly, inspection, and test phases.
• Traveling to supplier sites or manufacturing facilities as needed to resolve issues and validate hardware.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Electromechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience with CREO/Pro Engineer or equivalent 3D CAD software

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
