Job summary

Selectemp in Albany, OR is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Assembler II to construct, integrate, and test complex mechanical assemblies and control panels for specialized manufacturing equipment. The role emphasizes wiring, pneumatics, and adherence to industry codes with opportunity for overtime.

You will collaborate across teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to safety and quality audits while working a 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule on-site.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of manufacturing/assembly experience, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech equipment.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic sub-assemblies from drawings and BOMs.
• Route air lines, plumbing, fluid lines; perform hot flaring and PVC/plastic welding as needed.
• Wire electrical panels, modules, and control circuits with precision per NEC/NFPA/UL508A.
• Conduct inspections, power-up tests, safety checks, and I/O troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve bottlenecks and support audits (UL/CE/ETL).
• Verify quality docs, panel logs, and checklists to maintain standards.
• Assist with facility upgrades, preventive maintenance, and mentor junior staff.
