Met Weld is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Altamont, NY. The role focuses on soldering and assembling electrical and mechanical components in a manufacturing environment. It offers a regular day shift or a second shift with a 10% differential.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of assembly experience, are detail-oriented, and can read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams. This is an in-person, full-time position with opportunities to contribute to quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Soldering experience required.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand production drawings, work orders, and sample assemblies.
• Assemble components including mounting, crimping, soldering, and securing parts.
• Mount components and assemble wiring harnesses according to wiring diagrams.
• Inspect assemblies to ensure they meet production specifications.
• Perform intermediate assembly tasks and assist with quality checks during shifts.
