Dakota Systems is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler II for a temp-to-perm role in Dracut, MA. The position requires 1–3 years in electro-mechanical assembly, operates Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and will be pay-rolled through a temp agency at start.

Duties include assembling precision electromechanical products and performing sub-assembly tests as needed. You will use hand tools and small power tools, read assembly drawings, and report any defective materials.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in electro-mechanical assembly.
• Read assembly drawings.
• Familiar with ESD.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of semi-repetitive operations to assemble precision electromechanical products where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production planning or detailed written instructions.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.
• Assemble fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units.
• May perform sub-assembly tests to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Use hand tools and small power tools to assemble units; sets up and adjusts accordingly.
• Read assembly drawings.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition that follows prescribed safety regulations.

Open Position

Role Overview

Our team is in need of a Electro/Mechanical Assembler II with 1-3 years in the electro-mechanical assembly field. This position will at first be pay-rolled through a temp agency. This position is M-F, in-house, 7:00AM-3:30PM and the starting rate range is $22-24/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of semi-repetitive operations to assemble precision electromechanical products where methods and sequence of assembly are described by production planning or detailed written instructions.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require, or shifts from one station to another, during the assembly process.
• Assemble fabricated parts to relatively small or light subassemblies and complete units.
• May perform sub-assembly tests to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Use hand tools and small power tools to assemble units; sets up and adjusts accordingly.
• Dripping and tapping skills; familiar with use of squares, levels, and calipers.
• May interface with engineering and quality departments.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• May require computer to record work in process.
• Read assembly drawings.
• Familiar with ESD.
• Performs peer inspections.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clear, orderly condition that follows prescribed safety regulations.
