RTX seeks an Assembly Technician in McKinney, TX for hands-on electronic and mechanical assemblies in a classified production setting. You will work with engineering on production builds and rework tasks, onsite 2nd shift, with potential overtime.

The role requires meticulous adherence to procedures, reading drawings, and performing wire routing and connector mating with torque control. Qualified candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing and a DoD Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED or vocational/technical education with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience using work instructions, drawings, schematics with limited supervision.
• U.S. Citizen with active and transferable DoD Secret clearance before start.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on assembly of electronic and mechanical assemblies in a classified production environment.
• Follow detailed work instructions and photos, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Clock into production tracking system and manage sub-assemblies and kits.
• Inspect parts visually and with magnification to detect defects or nonconformance.
• Assemble: wire routing, connector mating, bracket installation, torque to spec.
• Work at seated and standing stations, and use automated bonding machines as needed.
• Develop proficiency for rework operations with non-linear sequence and higher complexity.
• Document all work in the production system after each operation.
• Escalate issues to supervisor and engineering when discrepancies arise.
