Job Location: San Leandro, CA (This position is 100% onsite)

Business Unit: Randtron

Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing moderately complex electro-mechanical assembly tasks related to the manufacture of small antennas and related subassemblies.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs electrical and mechanical assembly work utilizing blueprints and operation sheets.
  • Uses standard hand tools and epoxies to perform operations.
  • Performs work with microscopes for extended periods.
  • Interfaces with quality assurance and test personnel to ensure inspections and tests at checkpoints.
  • Performs hand soldering, wiring, and assembling small complex components.
  • Performs rework and repairs as needed.
  • Performs limited physical exertion under acceptable conditions, with some distraction due to noise, dust, heat, or chemicals.
  • Flexible with shifts, overtime, and weekends.
  • Must have good manual dexterity with both hands.
  • Requires sufficient vision to see small parts and discern symmetry and alignment.
  • Exposure to fumes, dust, chemicals, weather, moving mechanical parts, and noise.
  • Able to stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods.
  • Able to push, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly, using assistance or tools for heavier items.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE as necessary.
  • May require a Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or 7-9 years of related electro-mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to read operation sheets and blueprints.
  • Soldering skills, knowledge of electronic components, measurement instruments, and formulas.
  • Ability to pass IPC J-STD-001 certification.

Salary range: $44,500 - $82,500. Final offer depends on experience and location. Benefits include health, insurance, 401(k), flexible spending, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Program details vary by hire date and schedule.
