Position Summary

We do not require previous instrument repair experience; this is an entry-level position with training provided.

Why is this role important? Properly functioning surgical instruments are crucial for surgeons to provide the best patient care. We offer onsite mobile repair, in-house repair labs, and national repair centers.

This is a remote, customer-facing role based in California. You will support customers within this territory.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and repairs on surgical instruments using various tools. Attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential.
• Work in the field on mobile trucks, in repair labs, or hospitals, based on customer needs.
• Support multiple locations within your territory, depending on service agreements and staffing.

Required Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of work experience, including at least 1 year relevant experience, or 1 year at STERIS. All experience must be verifiable.
• Ability to pass DOT medical/physical exam and comply with DOT regulations.
• At least 21 years old, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and required vaccines.
• Ability to drive DOT-regulated vehicles and perform safety checks.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push carts up to 150 lbs.
• Must meet hospital/customer credentialing requirements.

Relevant work experience includes repair, assembly, or testing with small tools, electronics repair, carpentry, circuit board repair, sterile processing, automotive repair, etc.

Pay range: $18.99 - $26.50 per hour. Eligible for bonuses. Compensation depends on experience, education, certifications, and other factors.
