Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader to drive growth in electrification, distributed energy resources, microgrids, and EV charging solutions for federal, state, and municipal clients. You will lead strategy, provide advisory services, and mentor technical staff nationwide.

The role requires deep expertise in electrical resiliency, renewable energy, and a track record of managing cross-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline required; PE license preferred.
• 12 years of related experience or equivalent combined with education.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of analysis, evaluation, and design for EV fleet adoption by clients.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory to nationwide clients.
• Educate internal leaders on policies and funding opportunities for electrification.
• Lead financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and incentive evaluations.
• Champion R&D initiatives related to green electrification and renewables.
• Lead cross-functional teams across disciplines to advance complex strategies.
• Sell and deliver in new mobility areas while guiding client direction.
• Collaborate across practices to advance the electrification discipline.
