Job summary

CDM Smith's Infrastructure Services Group seeks an Energy and Power Discipline Leader to grow our energy and power offerings. You will bring subject matter expertise in electrification, EVs, microgrids, and distributed energy resources to federal, state, and local clients.

The role blends leadership with hands-on project work, mentoring staff and collaborating across disciplines in a matrix organization to drive clean energy deployment and policy alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline; PE license preferred.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency depends on duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and evaluation of approaches for electrification and grid modernization.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory and design support to clients nationwide.
• Educate internal leaders on new policies and funding opportunities for electrification.
• Lead quantitative analyses including financial modeling and cost-benefit analyses.
• Champion R&D initiatives related to green energy and electrification.
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement complex strategic efforts.
• Be a seller and a doer, guiding clients through mobility space evolution.
• Collaborate with other practices and mentor technical staff.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license.
