Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader in the Infrastructure Services Group. The role focuses on electrification, distributed energy resources, microgrids, and renewable tech for federal, state, and local clients across the U.S.

You will lead analyses, strategy, and program development to integrate electrification into evolving grid operations, while guiding multi-disciplinary teams and mentoring staff. This position requires travel and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline; PE license required.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency contingent on duties and project demands.
• Experience and expertise in electric vehicle sector, fleet electrification, charging stations, and hydrogen/fuel cells beneficial.
• Strong presentation, written communication, and project delivery skills with ability to lead large coalitions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct analysis, evaluation, and design for electric vehicle fleet adoption by clients.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory and design support nationwide.
• Educate internal leaders on new policies and funding opportunities for electrification.
• Lead financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and incentives evaluation.
• Mentor technical staff and collaborate with researchers, vendors, and clients.
