Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader to support growth in electric mobility, electrification, and renewable energy offerings. The role focuses on defining concepts, strategy, and tactical processes, and integrating electrification into grid operations for federal, state, and local clients.

The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and collaborate across practices while driving innovation in EV charging, microgrids, and data center power solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related discipline; PE license preferred.
• 12 years of related experience; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct analysis, evaluation, design, and development for electrification and EV fleets.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory and design support for clients nationwide.
• Educate internal leaders on policies and funding opportunities for electrification.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative analyses, including financial modeling and cost-benefit analyses.
• Champion R&D initiatives related to green/electrification/renewable energy.
• Lead cross-functional teams in implementing complex strategic efforts.
