Job summary

CDM Smith's Infrastructure Services Group is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader to drive electrification initiatives and renewable energy solutions for federal, state, municipal, transit, school, and commercial clients across the United States.

The role focuses on developing concepts, strategies, and implementation plans for EV fleets, charging infrastructure, microgrids, distributed energy resources, and battery technologies, while mentoring teams and collaborating with specialists

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• Domestic/international travel may be required; travel frequency varies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of analysis, evaluation, design, and processes for electric vehicle fleet adoption by clients.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory and design support nationwide.
• Educate internal leaders on new policies and funding opportunities for electrification.
• Lead financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and evaluation of incentives.
• Champion R&D initiatives related to green electrification and renewable energy.
• Lead cross-functional teams in complex strategic initiatives.
• Sell and execute projects, guiding clients through new mobility spaces.
• Collaborate across practices and mentor technical staff.
