Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Electrical Engineer 6 to lead complex electrical design projects supporting critical infrastructure. You will oversee designs from power distribution to renewable energy solutions, perform technical studies, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related discipline.
Professional Engineer license.
10 years of related electrical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Develop basic to highly complex electrical designs, power systems, and renewable energy models to meet client requirements.
Review designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Perform power system studies and electrical calculations for multiple systems.
Ensure all designs comply with firm policies and standards.
Conduct site investigations to verify existing conditions and align with site requirements.
Contribute to Technical Knowledge Management with papers and guidance.
Prepare and submit technical papers for publication.
Collaborate with sales to develop client proposals and ensure compliance.
Meet with clients to understand present and future design needs.
Attend industry events to showcase capabilities and opportunities for collaboration.
Provide mentoring to junior staff and supervise engineers as needed.
