Job summary

Loyola University Maryland Main Campus is seeking an Electrician II to perform electrical installs, repairs and maintenance on campus facilities. You will work with transformers, generators, circuit breakers, MCCs, conduits and panels, test circuits and ensure safety and code compliance.

Required are 3–5 years of experience, vocational/technical training, and Journeyman or Master license. Roles may include on-call rotations and weekend/evening coverage to support campus operations.

Plan new ormodified installations consistent with specifications and local electrical codes. Preparesketches showing wiring equipment location. Test continuity of circuits to ensureelectrical compatibility and safety of components; observe functioning of installed lightbulbs and ballast equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments,relocation and/or replacement. Perform specialized activities including coordinatingelectrical renovations. Familiar with all local electrical codes and standard electrical work procedures. Knowledge of electrical principles and their application to the maintenance, repair and installation of electric distribution systems, devices and electrical generation systems. Ability to apply electrical formulas and conversion tables to job requirements. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required.
